Amal Academy: The Never Ending Journey

Covid-19 affected the whole world due to which governments imposed lockdown in order to suffer from less human loss. But imposing a lockdown also affected badly everything. Education sector was also affected by the lockdown where all the institutions were closed and they started online classes. Online classes were not so effective. It was so boring for me and I hated it a lot. It was time when the new session of Amal Academy was going to start and I was hopeful for my selection as in my interview I was so passionate and energetic that they were so impressed by me. Finally, slowly and slowly time went and the selection procedure ended with my selection. I was very happy for my selection as I needed it a lot at that time.

After my selection, there were some problems in the way of my fellowship which I hated a lot such as the camera of my laptop was so bad that it gave a blurry picture. The biggest problem was internet issues as I live in a village where there is no access to PTCL. So I had to depend on my mobile network in order to give connectivity to my laptop and to continue my fellowship. I can’t explain how much I used to be furious at myself whenever I lost connectivity during the session. But these problems were nothing as compared to the things I got in return from Amal Academy. I am truly blessed to have this opportunity which made me a lifelong learner and which gave me friends when I did not have any friends, who were so much supportive and helped me a lot.

In the times when humans have become truly social animals and do not care about others, I got this beautiful Amal Family. My experience at the start was so amazing. The way how ma’am Ayesha and Sir Anas supported me I will never forget. If all the teachers start following our mentors then all of our educational problems will be solved. I was the one who lost belief in humanity but Amal fellows were the real example of compassion, grateful humility and being humble. In this selfish world no one is too kind without their interests but here I found some friends who helped me and supported me whenever I needed them. Ariba is a blessing for me and I can’t explain how much I am grateful to her as she has helped me everytime when I asked as she is also my senior. She is always too kind and humble. M Hassaan and Hamza Zaman are the next ones whom I am very thankful as they are always there for me. Only I know how much I have disturb them throughout the fellowship. Last but not least, Nimra Babar was always there for me to listen to my problems without judging and giving suggestions how to tackle them. These are the most important people from my Amal Family and I will always be thankful to them.

One of the best things which happened to me is that Amal Academy has helped me to become a lifelong learner. Whole fellowship has helped me a lot but connecting the dots was something else. After that online course I always try to connect my dots even though I try it on a daily basis on the things which I have done. And the thing which I discovered about myself is that I can easily interact with new people, the thing which I feared the most. In the Amal fellowship everyone was stranger but the way I interacted with them made me realize it is not so difficult to interact with new people. In fact it is always such an amazing experience knowing new people with different ideas which makes you learn new things.

Although the fellowship is going to end but I will say it is just beginning, beginning to the things which we learned throughout this fellowship to practically imply in our lives. The things I would love to do will be helping others without seeing my own interests and being kind with others no matter what the circumstances are because it is the thing which one can make one boring day and null day into a great day.

“Everything and everyone is interconnected. One man’s pain will hurt us all and one’s pleasure will make everyone smile.” Rumi
